Michael graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2008 with a first class honours physiotherapy degree before gaining invaluable experience working within the NHS at Rotherham Foundation Trust over the following 5 years. Within junior and subsequent senior rotational posts he was able to complete multiple and varied musculoskeletal outpatient rotations, orthopaedic, respiratory and neurological based in-patient rotations, and contributed to the emergency on-call respiratory service. As a consequence, Michael has developed an excellent insight, knowledge-base and experience in the treatment of a wide range of conditions.

As his career has progressed, Michael has continued to develop his knowledge base and therapy skills with particular focus towards musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions and is a keen advocate of integrating 'hands-on' therapy with appropriate education and advice on exercise, lifestyle change, and pain management. Having completed the AACP foundation acupuncture course in 2010, the use of acupuncture is also incorporated within his treatment as appropriate, particularly for pain relief.

Having also completed a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, he has a keen interest in many sports, and previous experience within coaching and rehabilitation programmes. Consequently, treatment can be adapted to suit an individual's own goals be it simply to reduce pain, improve gait, or to return to full participation in sport or at work.
